Unsung SPB - II
Couple of months back, I had presented to you all a song sung by SPB, unsung by him in the actual movie !! Click here to hear "Poongaatru Thirumbuma" sung by SPB - http://7swara.blogspot.com/2008/05/unsung-spb.html
This is the clip of "Raasathi Unna" from "Vaidhehi Kaathirunthaal". Originally, this song was sung by Jeyachandran and this version of it is sung by SPB. Once we have heard a song sung in a way by someone, it is not that easy to outscore by other person. But, somehow, I feel SPB's pronounciation and crystal clear rendering is simply superb and he makes me think twice !

Oh what a timing... I just listened to the SPB version for the first time last night. Great Job.
-Arun.
I like Some of these songs better than the original (Ex: Solla thaan ninaikiren). As you said, SPB's pronounciation is too clear. His voice is evergreen.
Yes Emjay. I got a DVD of Raaja collection couple of months ago. Surprised to see SPB's version. SPB's voice is very clear and adds more charm.
But since i got used to Jeya's voice, i somehow couldn't come out of it. I prefer Jeya's version to SPB's version :)
Hmm. May be, I am biased towards SPB..
I felt the voice of JeyaChandran emotes well without trying too hard to convey...SPB's voice is a little too soft, dont you think?
You are right in a way.. SPB's voice is too soft for sure.. But, my biasness with SPB makes me feel otherwise!
Thank you, Arun.
